Garth Koren Trio

Garth Koren moved to NYC from Colorado where he first created his trio. He met Marco while working with the pop/soul band blue number nine in 2000. Marco & Piergiorgio (PG) were once roommates. So the three decided to pool their talents and love of jazz and the trio was born.

Marco Accattatis - bass
Marco Accattatis originally began his bass studies in his hometown of Pisa Italy, then studied at Berklee in Boston settling in New York in 1995. Since then has played in many popular bands and recorded several CDs playing everything from jazz to samba to funk to rock and now lives in Jersey City, NJ.

Piergiorgio Marchesini (PG) - drums
Recently moving to New York, Piergorgio Marchesini is new to the city but no stranger to jazz, having began his drum studies in Italy. In addition to touring Europe and owning his own production company, Marchesini has jammed with David Garibaldi of Tower of Power and swing legend Louie Bellson.

Since moving to New York City in 1998 Garth Koren has played several solo jazz cocktail engagements for both Cabott Scott and Hank Lane Productions; established a working jazz trio; and played keyboards for several local bands.
